What we do
Home Rehabilitation Experts
Each of our physiotherapists have experience and specialist training in different areas of the profession enabling us to effectively treat a wide range of conditions.
Below are a list of the things we most commonly help with, we couldn’t possibly list them all, so if you are in doubt contact us and we will be happy to talk through your individual circumstances.Â
Here are just a few of the most common things we can help with
We understand the intricacies of post-operative care. Whether you’ve had orthopaedic surgeries or other medical procedures, we’re dedicated to enhancing your well-being. Our objective is to aid you in regaining mobility, alleviating pain, and enhancing your quality of life after surgery.
We often find clients need us to “bridge the gap” whilst on a waiting list for NHS support. Many choose to continue to use our services alongside NHS input as they may need more regular appointments than they are offered. We work alongside, and communicate with our NHS colleagues, to ensure your treatment is uninterrupted. We can continue to work with you for as long as is needed to achieve the goals and level of mobility you need.
Your physiotherapist will design an individualised exercise and rehabilitation plan, tailored to your specific need, ensuring a safe and effective recovery. Additionally, we provide valuable guidance on pain management and techniques for reducing post-operative discomfort. Our expertise is invaluable in helping you regain your independence and resume daily activities with confidence.
Whether you have had surgery through the NHS or a private medical provider we can help get you back to the things you love.
Neuro Physio is about finding ways to maximise your quality of life while managing your long term condition. We have plenty of experience treating neurological conditions such as Stroke, Spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s, Dementia, Cerebral Palsy, Neuropathies and many other conditions.
We can help with common neurological issues such changes in muscle tone, muscle strength, balance issues, fatigue, and sensory issues. These all contribute to an overall loss of function and can make it hard for you to cope with the demands of day to day life.
We work with you to break down overall goals into the individual components required for the task. We will work on things such as balance, use of walking aids, fine motor skills, muscle strengthening and stretching.Â
Â
Physiotherapy is ideal for treating everyday aches and pains. We will help get to the root cause of your symptoms and help eliminate them with a mix of treatment, education and exercises. We will ensure a comprehensive assessment of your issues.
We offer respiratory physiotherapy at your home to help help you breathe better. We will help you control your breathlessness with some tried and tested techniques and the right advice on helpful positions to regain your breath. It is common to become anxious and lose your confidence after an episode of shortness of breath, as your lungs struggle to cope with chest infections, pneumonia or after an asthma attack. We will support and encourage you to remain independent by teaching you pacing exercises and suggest some adaptive equipment to lighten the demand of your daily tasks and activities.
We will undertake a comprehensive, detailed assessment to get to the bottom of your balance issues and understand why you may be falling.Â
